Due to the shortage of construction material development projects initiated by the CDA, worth billions of rupees, including the construction of overpasses and flyovers are in the doldrums.
Most of these projects were to be completed by the end of this month. The projects are not pending due to the contractor negligence but due to the shortage of Tar coal, which has become scarce in the entire country, the sources said. Tar Coal is only available in two factories in the country out of which one is in Attock and the other is in Karachi.
